I hope you all, parents and kids, had a great Christmas and
an enjoyable break returning refreshed and full or
energy after all that chocolate for the second half of
the season.
We all kicked off 2006 last weekend with some very
different results. A good start could lead to a strong
second half of the season for us all, our older sides
all put in good performances with the 13s & 14s both
recording convincing victories. It was great to see the
U14s carry on from where they left off in 2005 wining
well playing good football congratulations to both sides
now let’s keep it going!
The 16s were very disappointed to be beaten 4-2 by one of
the top sides from Birmingham in the cup after
dominating the game. As we all know too well, you don’t
always get what you deserve in football, but if you keep
playing and believing, your luck will change.
Our younger sides didn’t start as well but have been going
well before Christmas so let’s hope you can both turn it
around this weekend boy’s …..good luck!
To all those going on tour, you need to make sure it’s all
organised asap, it will be here before you know it. If
you need to do any fund raising, get it organised now if
you haven’t already. The U13’s have certainly done well
raising hundreds of pounds bag packing at Asda. Once
again many thanks to Asda and Maria Bell for organising
that for us and all our best wishes for the forthcoming
baby in July.
The U14s will be going to Scarborough at the end of May
and attending an outdoor activity centre for hopefully a
different but very enjoyable week. The U16s are going to
Amsterdam purely for the football I’m assured by Tony. I
can’t wait to hear the lads match reports when they get
back.
If anyone has any news they wish to communicate please
contact me directly or through your team managers.
Good luck to you all for 2006.
