Thursday 15/09/05 PSA
Blues v London Road Colts at Home
For all the parents that watched this game they would of
been proud of all the players. The conditions were
horrible but the lads from both teams just rolled up
their sleeves and got on with it.
For the first 10 minutes of the first half, London Road
were on top, pressing early for the goal but PSA stood
firm in defence and then started to settle down. Some
fantastic one touch football created the first chance
for PSA with Darius Gichini just shooting wide. We got
back into it and were now making more chances with the
best chance of the first half falling to Reegan Hardy
who could not quite connect with the ball and it was
cleared off the line. Some sound defending from Connor
O'Dowd and Sam Moore in the first half. Half time score
0 - 0.
Straight from the kick off we seen a different PSA and
very shortly into the second half some good football
from Dean Pharaoh who won the tackle, beat one man and
laid off a good ball to Darius Gichini who then hit the
ball low across the goal to Jake Powell, who with his
first touch put PSA 1 up. It was a well worked goal.
In fact it was not long before the two players linked
again and this time Darius Gichini put the ball away to
make it 2 -0 to PSA.
With about 8 minutes to go London Road got the goal they
deserved by hitting PSA on the break and it was calmly
put away by Bradley.
The final score was PSA Blue 2 London Road Colts 1.
Special mention to Sam Moore for his excellent running
with the ball and also to Stefan Jones for his great
work rate. Well done boys.
Man of the Match - Connor O'Dowd.
We would like to say that the London Road parents were
unbelievable and
even when PSA scored their goals every single one of
them were applauding.
