Sunday 18/12/05 PSA Peugeot Citroen v All Nations

A cold frosty morning on a hard frozen pitch contributed to a slow but steady first half from both teams. Peugeot were strong in defence and dominated possession without creating many clear cut chances.

Half time : PSA 0   All Nations 0

Peugeot again started on top, but with the Nation’s keeper making some fine saves they became more and more frustrated, until the breakthrough came 15 minutes into the second half. Stevie scored with an easy tap in after reacting first to the rebound following another save from the Nation’s keeper. Bullet soon added a second with a cool finish, Danny scored the third with a neat turn and finish from close range.

A good flowing move from one end of the pitch to the other led to the fourth goal which Christy scored drilling the ball into the bottom corner from the edge of the area. Peugeot added one more goal in the last few minutes a strong solo run and finish by Sean Kelly. Credit to All Nations who kept battling to the end of the game, which was played in a great spirit by both sides.
